A unique, one-off piece capturing the details and colours of a shoreline in an organic flowing shape set into an assymetric hand crafted oak base.
 
This piece has been made using layers of coloured glass to build up the colours. The sand and pebbles are made with opaque glass which glows softly when the light shines through, and interesting details in the sand and pebbles have been added by using colours of glass which have a chemical reaction when fired together. The sea has been made using a blend of transparent blue glass colours for a dappled watery effect which gives a lovely burst of blue when the light shines through.
 
The glass has been firmly siliconed into the wooden base, giving excellent stability so it can be displayed anywhere, the wooden base is just 7.5cm deep so it can also fit on a narrow window ledge to add a pop of coastal colour to your home. This particular base is a hand crafted one-off which sets the glass off at an interesting diagonal into the wood.
