A unique, one-off piece featuring a seahorse one a wave shaped piece of glass, mounted in a sturdy wooden base.
 
This piece has been made using multiple kiln firings to build up the depth of colours, utilising chemical reactions between different colours of glass for the sand and pebbles, hand cut sea grass in a bright green glass and a tranquil mix of dappled blues for the sea. The seahorse has been carefully made from hand cut pieces of glass with enamel painting as well as some stained glass painting to add fine detailing.
 
The glass has been firmly siliconed into the wooden base, giving excellent stability so it can be displayed anywhere, the wooden base is just 7cm deep so it can also fit on a narrow window ledge.
 
Glass can look very different depending on where it is displayed and the lighting around it, I recommend trying different locations! Please note that a lighter coloured background will show the colours off at their best.
